| I officially believe in Jet lag. That is all I have to say...now...time to try to sleep :)
I got a job today!! I start at the golf course I'd worked grounds for for the past 3 summers...on Monday...this time I'm an Admin girl...better hours...and I can still cut greens and stuff outside sometimes if I want!! What a blessing!! Jesus really loves me this I know!! :) He keeps showing me His faithfulness!
AND, I got to meet little Violet Eliana Weening today - my 2 month old niece...and see my other two nieces - cute as buttons they are :) I got them the cutest little sheep purses from New Zealand...I was SOOOOOOO excited to give them to them...but do you think that was the highlight of what I got them?! I THINK NOT! All they cared about were the princess stickers and colouring book! SOOOOO funny! :) Whatever, someday maybe they'll think the purses are really cute - maybe once they use up all their stickers :)

LONGEST DAY OF MY LIFE - literally! I got up at 6:15AM Monday morning, Brisbane time (approx. 4PM Sunday night in Ontario)...flew for 12 hours...it got dark again and then I saw the sunrise from the plane window...arriving at 7AM Monday morning in LA (that's FOUR hours prior to my departure time) SOOOOOOOOOOO weird. THEN, I took a plane at 10:40 am (before the time I left Brisbane) to Philadelphia...and finally arrived at 11pm in Toronto...approximately 24 hours after leaving...yet only 12 hours in time had passed - how weird is that?! SO, I've been up for approximately 33 hours...I think it's bed time...point is, I'm back in Canada...to see my family...and my darling kitty Maple - whose as beautiful as I remember him being :) SO cute sleeping in my suitcase :)

Hello world! Since last time I wrote, I've been to New Zealand, Melbourne, Sydney, Byron Bay, Tasmania, and The Whitsunday Islands! Many adventures have been had but I don't have time to go into them all right now! I leave on Monday to head back to Canada...it's been a while, but I'm excited. Both of my sister-in-laws have had babies since I've been away and I'm excited to meet Violet Eliana, AND Hudson Bradley Weening. How exciting...the Weening clan is growing again. :) Until next time, Robin

SO, I went to Fiji last week and it was AWESOME! We had a great time and met lots of new people...went snorkeling almost everyday and loved every minute of it. We saw 2 sharks! YAY! THEN, yesterday we went to the Great Barrier Reef and it was ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! There were SO many fish! One fish was the same size as me and I was about a foot away from touching it (I was scared to touch it b/c I don't think we were supposed to touch the fish...but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have minded a hottie like me touching him :) haha...oh brother. Anyways, tomorrow we're going to the Cairns rainforest on a train and in a tram (that reminds me of a Dr Seuss book the way I wrote that) "I would not eat it in a tram...I would not could not ever..." anyways... I guess that's about it. My internet time is running low...but know this...I am loving life...and am in Australia...and you are not. :) Do not be jealous. It is sin. Much love, Robina

OK...so a few funny things from the week... I'll go in the order that they happened. 1) I take the bus to work in the morning...and on Tuesday (I think it was, but it's irrelevant) when I crossed the "crosswalk" I almost flipped over because the paint on the pavement was SO slippery from the rain. Can SOMEBODY please tell me why they paint the crosswalk with slippery paint when people have to walk on it?! Seriously...DUH! 2) I was sitting at home on Wednesday...watching "The Farmer Needs a Wife" (my new favourite show here in Australia) when my roommate made this casarole thing that for some reason smelled like popcorn - YUMMY popcorn. This was odd because it was made of mushrooms and bacon and other things that are not like popcorn at all. ANYWAYS, so I REALLY was craving popcorn as I watched my show. I decided I needed to eat popcorn and I was going to just try. I've seen Jess make it before and I figured it can't be that hard. I put some butter in a pan and went at it! WELL, after about 15 minutes I realized I had burned all the kernals and they weren't going to pop...SO...I started again - this time with no butter. I cleaned out the pan and put fresh kernals in there...and...once again...after about 15 minutes I gave up...with no successfully popped kernals...I JUST WANTED ONE PIECE TO POP!! AAHH!! It was at this point I decided to add butter to the non-popped kernals thinking it could help - to no avail. I then decided it was a good idea to read the directions. I'd done it wrong...but my show was now over and I didn't even care anymore. I wasn't going to use up all the kernals. SO, I went for a walk instead. Thankfully, when I got home, Jess was home from work and made Custard instead...so at least I had a treat...even if it wasn't the popcorn that I was craving. :) What would I do without her?! 3) I went to get my lunch today (at Red Rooster Fast Food place) and I always read the paper that's on the counter...WELL...on the front page of the paper was a couple lifesaver guys who'd tipped over their raft thing...and the picture was the 2 guys flying out of their boat with the biggest wedgies ever in their speedos!! I instantly thought of Emily Simpson...she would've appreciated the picture with me...or taken notice of the wedgies...unfortunately she's in Ontario...but she'll read this and appreciate it from afar. :) Anyways, it was SO SO funny! I showed the girls at the counter...and then we all laughed together...I looked up the paper on the internet but can't find the picture :( Too bad. It gave me a good little laugh...and made me grateful to NOT be on the front page of the paper today!! HAHAHA!! Last day of work today...dun dun dun...
